Our traditional piano room forces us to cluster pianos together for easier access to power outlets. As we return to learn, we want to provide our students with as many safety options as possible. By allowing students to use MIDI piano keyboards in combination with laptops, students can space our more than with traditional piano keyboards to adhere to social distancing protocols. Interacting with laptops provides my students additional chances to improve their computer and technology literacy skills in their journey to become successful 21st century learners upon high school graduation.
