Kindergarten students need their small muscles to do so many things throughout the day. When fine motor skills are weak, students struggle in many areas at school. Without strong small muscles and good fine motor skills, they are unable to button their pants, zip their coats, cut paper, or hold a pencil to write their name.
Paper punches, craft scissors, and pop beads are fun play-based tools that will get students to use their small muscles. Golf pencils are short and require students to hold them with a correct grip instead of incorrectly. This will grow the strength in their fingers which will increase their stamina when writing!
