Having a safe place to store your things is often something that is overlooked in most classrooms. Many of my students bring a variety of things from home, which often distracts them throughout the day. My students would benefit from having a safe place to store their things, that is out of the way to avoid distracting them. The use of cubbies would also help stop students from sneaking into each other's backpacks. We have tried many different things in our classroom for backpack storage but it's still an area for improvement. Currently, we are using an old bookshelf to store their backpacks, so cubbies would really benefit my kids!
