Students will be able to create their own Constitution and Bill of Rights to determine why the fundamentals of American Democracy is so important. Using the High Court Summaries, the post-its and the dry erase boards, students will be able to engage with the complex text of supreme court cases and actively learn.
Students will then begin studying landmark supreme court decisions that have influenced the founding documents and the freedoms we enjoy today.
Students will also be learning how to write and research a college level research paper on a topic of their choice. In that process, students will be concept mapping using dry erase boards, gallery walks and post its.
