In this project students will be using geometric nets to explore Platonic solids and discover Euler's Formula. Students will begin by learning about surface area, vertices, sides, and faces of geometric polyhedrons.
The students will be using Autodesk Inventor Professional and their knowledge of Platonic Solids to create and 3D print their own examples. With this 3d printer, students will be able to bring their projects to life; sparking a better understanding and new ideas.
Students will also explore how 3d printers work and think of other ways they can apply it to what they are learning in their math and engineering classes.
