The dreams of fourth-graders reach outside the box. The design process is an essential component of ensuring students keep their stamina and encourages grit for years to come.
Designing a product or solution to a problem enables these students to become the problem solvers of the future. This 3D printer will enable them to go through the design process more than once and construct and redesign if necessary. Some lessons will include inventing solutions to a counterpart community on a faraway planet, modeling land-forms, writing stories of imaginary creatures, and creating them, and so much more.
The students will develop their knowledge of three-dimensional design, work on measurement, geometry, and decimals in real-world situations bringing their skills from the classroom into the real world.
