My students have learned how to evolve over the last two years during the Covid pandemic. The biggest struggle a lot of students face coming back into the classroom is having to sit still trying to focus on what they need to be learning. After learning virtually off and on for the past two years and being able to plug in whenever and wherever they choose, the ability to sit still for an extended period of time is not possible for many.
My hope is to provide flexible seating options for my students to give them back a little of the freedom they became accustomed to while learning from home. I will use the flexible seating arrangements in my class to teach during the Covid pandemic and many years beyond to help my students that have trouble focusing apply themselves more in class. I firmly believe if my students are given these beneficial seating arrangements they will be able to focus more fully on what they are learning and in turn do better academically.
