Technology is a forbidden word for most of my students. Its something they hear about and they know how amazing it is but they just aren't allowed to use it. Why? Access! They get a 45-minute block once a week and are told that they can go to their local library and research whatever they would like. Let's not forget that they are still children and without an available adult to take them to the library, that accessibility becomes deeply inaccessible. Help me close the gap by providing them a way to access unlimited resources. We live in a world where everything is now at your fingertips. Shopping, books, groceries, toys and so much more. Unfortunately for most of my students, they simply stand off to the side hoping that one day, they too can jump on the tech train. These tablets will provide a way for students to research and learn in a fun, interactive way. It provides a sense of independence and accomplishment when they can navigate and learn by exploring. These tablets will be greatly appreciated by my students!
