The hearts that would be purchased for my classroom would allow all of my students to learn about organ structures in a fun and meaningful way. Dissecting doesn't just get the students out of their seats. It's also a lot more fun than simply looking at pictures. Performing a dissection provides learners with a 3-Dimensional look at structures. It allows students to connect important vocabulary to real-life applications - a crucial aspect of our biology curriculum. Connecting vocabulary with real-life objects will be a great benefit to the twenty-two English Language Learners in my biology classes as well.
Working in small lab groups allows each student to be a part of the lab, while also allowing them to engage with their peers. So, I would like to provide my classes with enough hearts so that students can work in groups of three. This project will be an awesome opportunity for my students to have fun while learning!
