I strive to create a "college & career" mindset with my 6th-8th grade students. I am privileged to guide them to set realistic goals, help them develop effective strategies to achieve them and provide them with academic and emotional support as they choose, prepare for, and pursue a career path. I want students to become more aware of opportunities, be more engaged in making informed choices, motivated toward achieving their potential. They will acquire skills and core knowledge and be more determined to achieve their goals.
The long-term impact will be more college and post-secondary graduates, hence a greater number of people in the workforce in higher paying jobs.
