Where do you learn best? Think about where you do most of your reading or work. For most of us, the answer to that question is not sitting straight up in a hard chair that is placed behind a desk. This is the same for most students, especially 1st grade students!
Students should be given to choice to discover a space that allows them to learn best. Throughout our room we have a few choices in seating, although wobble stools is something that is missing. I have many active students that learn best when their body is moving. These wobble stools allow students to move their legs, stabilize their core, and rock all while staying focused on their learning.
The wobble stools would be a HUGE addition to our flexible seating classroom environment and the learning of the 1st graders in our room.
