Support Mr. Lasley's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
My students have a passion for learning and love the natural world. I would love to bring the natural world into my classroom with the compost bin and greenhouse, and take my students into the natural world equipped with the tools to make scientific observations (nets, etc.)
You can't learn science without doing science.
In 4th grade we learn about the watercycle and weather, and a weather station will help us track daily weather measurements. We learn about the rock cycle, weathering, erosion, and soil. Observing this process first-hand with the rock tumbler will help solidify understanding. Finally, we learn about habitats and animal classification. And what better way to demonstrate animal classification than to do it ourselves! The nets, microscopes, and collection kits will give my students first hand experience in scientific field work. Please help me create a new generation of scientists!
