My students have difficulty communicating with the world around them. They think differently and have so much to share, but not the tools to share it appropriately. Giving them an opportunity to have ownership of their communication, along with the skills being taught, will help them succeed in their environment.
Writing social stories and making personal schedules will help my students with autism become independent and successful in their communication and learning!
The printer and laminator will be used to make the materials needed to teach my students effectively. The color printer and ink will motivate my children and make the work child-friendly. The laminator will protect and extend the life of the materials that they will use throughout the day, on a daily basis. The rings and Velcro will allow them to work independently, using the skills they have learned throughout the day in different settings.
