The Project Lit books are selected because they are diverse and present many different perspectives for students. They tackle current issues in ways that allow students to engage with the text, have meaningful conversations, and possibly make a difference in their community.
We started Project Lit just this past year and started with a few key titles to pique the students' interests; I could not keep them on the shelf, students were racing to check them out. Now that the new list is released, I would like to have all of them available for my students. Students will be able to check out these books from my classroom library and allow us to have shared experiences.
