With these materials, my students will be able to use the engineering and design process. Working in groups, they will define the problem, design and build a solution, and test the final product.
Students will collaborate to build a viable product out of duct tape, bamboo sticks, and plastic drop cloths in hopes of staying dry. Students will learn from their mistakes through identifying the flaws of their design and make changes as needed.
Students will also strengthen their ability to work and communicate effectively with each other, skills that will be used as they continue their education and transition into the working world.
