Vivid colors catches attention. In kindergarten, I need to quickly make the important information stand out because of the short attention span most of the students have. Using colored dry erase markers, color on anchor charts, and colored paper for important school notices will help me do so. Something as simple as adding color can make a world of difference in a lesson and in the classroom. Not only is adding color eye catching, but it helps the student to separate and track information. Using color is just one of many tricks I use to help my student receive the information.
