When I first came to the school I now call home, there was - and still is - an extremely limited amount of art supplies. We took what we had and still we created masterpieces; with a few pencils, a few markers and a whole lot of passion!
My students are full of talent, and I would like to give them the opportunity to work with materials which any student in a more affluent school might take for granted.
Basic supplies - paints, palettes, canvases; in order to work with mediums which they would not be able to explore under the circumstances. We also need items which will allow for quick and easy cleanup - neatness mats, water buckets - as our school is small and there is no permanent art space. I share a different classroom each period, with a different teacher requiring use of the classroom directly after our class, so neatness and time is of the essence. With your assistance, my students will have an even more enriching and inspiring experience in art this year!
