Combining new tech like VR (virtual reality) with traditional classroom instruction is one example of how the introduction of new technology can enhance the learning experience and create new opportunities.
An appropriate classroom solution will support the shift in instruction in my classroom from whole class to personalized learning. Having tablets will deliver new and existing materials at the right pace and level for each child based on their specific needs. Research and data show that using tablets in the classroom demonstrate creative thinking, high IQ scores, and good problem solving skills.
Many tablets come with built-in cameras and meaning QR codes that my students can use to structure the learning process. These tools offer a variety of educational opportunities and the traditional passive learning model can be broken. Technology transforms the learning experience and my students can use a universe of apps teaching creative thinking in an interactive manner. I can also use apps that can empower my students to collaborate with other students and make projects together.
Students have access to an incredible amount of new opportunities. From learning how to code to learning how to better collaborate across teams and with their instructors-technology empowers students to be more creative and be more connected. New tech has super-charged how we learn today.
