I am requesting a class set of "I Am Malala" and "The Lions of Little Rock." I would love to do a novel study of both books, and my students will really benefit from understanding different perspectives and how kids just like them overcame adversity and challenged themselves to do magnificent things.
This project will enhance student learning for years to come. These materials will make a difference in student learning because they will provide high-interest stories and the ability for my students to connect with a diverse array of authors and storytellers. I want to give my students the opportunity to view different perspectives and understand the hardships some humans have to go through, but also how they rise above those hardships and make a difference. I am looking forward to this opportunity. Thank you so much!
