This workshop will provide a parent engagement opportunity, having a potential to reach 42 students and their family members who participate, with a hands-on guided lesson and free build opportunity. Workshop facilitators will help parents and students to make connections to our cross-curricular unit of study and explore how a common toy, such as a building block, can be utilized as a flexible but impactful learning tool. Brick4Kidz creates an opportunity for students to tap in and strengthen early development social, emotional, language, cognitive, math, and science skills by engaging students’ interests, natural curiosity, and creativity through elements of play.
