The students in my classroom have a mix of ability levels and come from a variety of settings. The students are kindergarten through fifth grade and are still understanding basic social skills concepts.
Self control and respect for others are two essential parts of our classroom community. These skills are taught throughout the year with a variety of lessons, but to truly master such high level social skills, students need the opportunity to practice these skills in an enjoyable, meaningful situation that is on their level. The books I have selected will model important social skills in real life situations. While the games will allow them to put many important social skills into practice.
