One of the best things that my students learn in Kindergarten is how to read. My students love when they can pick a book and read it to an adult or a reading buddy. The leveled books from this project will help build an amazing classroom library that is appropriate for beginning readers. Students will have the chance to choose books at their level to put into their book boxes.
Nothing compares to seeing the smile on a child's face the first time he/she reads a book all by themself. The more practice students get with reading, the more confident they become. You can see their excitement grow! This excitement helps develop a love for reading and learning at a young age. My students will get the chance to share books with friends, teachers and family members.
