I use a lot of collaborative teaching strategies including games in my classroom. Dum Dums are the perfect incentive or prize for these activities. They are hypoallergenic and kids love them. The amount that I am asking for will last the entire school year.
I give Dum Dums to students with smart answers. This gives them an incentive to participate. I also give them out to students who catch me making mistakes. That way we all stay on our toes. These incentives are a very simple way to keep the classroom environment comfortable. Students are more likely to take risks when there are rewards.
