I am a new Special Education Teacher working with preschool students with disabilities. The cube chairs will help my students focus and attend to teacher-directed learning activities such as circle time or working with a teacher in small math or literacy groups. Children with disabilities often have a difficult time focusing on the teacher or activity.
The table and chairs set will help develop social skills within our dramatic play area of the classroom. These pretend play skills are important to begin social interactions such as caring for one another, sharing, taking turns, and learning what it is like to be part of a family. Students will take these interactions to the next level each year in school.
