My project is to help my students think outside of the box. In my project I am requesting STEM bins which are truly phenomenal. Also, I am requesting headphones for a practical purpose. My amazing school has different technology programs and resources that help tremendously in the classroom. We have access to iPads and chrome books fairly often. In addition to the resources, we have a program called iReady that works with each child where they are at academically. If one of my third graders still reads at a kindergarten level, it will work with them at that level to help them grow. However, we struggle to find headphones for all students. Therefore I am in need of headphones for students to be able to focus on their individual lessons.
My students are capable of far more then they think they are. A large portion of my class is typically english second language learners who just need some confidence to believe in their own abilities! These stem bins will build confidence in them. These bins help students learn by exploring, creating, and engineering different things. This is a great tool for students who need somewhere to be successful when they are struggling with their reading.
Overall, as any other teacher, I want success for my students. I wish I could fund everything for my room myself, but that is not the case. I have already put hundreds of dollars into my own classroom, but am in need of help with these more expensive items! I appreciate all donations. You're impacting a tiny life more than you'll ever know.
