By providing alternate and flexible seating options to students with unique needs and sensory difficulties, they are more likely to engage and participate in learning during academic instruction in reading, mathematics, and writing.
Active seating, such as the Flex-Space-Wobble chair, encourages students to self-correct by promoting slight movements while they sit and are a necessary component to what we call a "sensory diet".
Many of our students have decreased muscle tone or a constant need for movement-based sensory input and these chairs will provide the necessary sensory feedback and integration to help retrain the brain to respond differently to stimulation.
