I teach K-5 Severe Needs Special Education in a Title 1 school. Many of my students are non-verbal and require the use of assistive technology, in a variety of formats, in order to communicate and participate in their community. Other students are working to develop skills in daily independence through navigation of their environments and requesting basic needs and wants. All of my students are additionally working on academic skills that help to develop life skills.
I hold high expectations for my students, team, and most importantly myself; I look forward to watching my students work towards and achieve their goals each day. Their growth inspires me to work hard everyday to provide them with every opportunity available.
