I attended PD on creating a Makerspace and would love to bring a space into our classroom. The items that are needed include a microbit, copper tape, batteries, and LED lights. With these items, students will be able to make and explore paper circuitry! The goal is to keep expanding this space for our students and eventually have a more established Makerspace.
These coding supplies will expose my students to the basics of electronics and allow them to explore these topics by making things themselves, in addition to this they will serve as a foundation to our makerspace.
The supplies will be available to the students to take home and work on projects that class time does not afford us. There items will prepare my students to compete in the ever changing world and also encourage them to think outside the box.
