Seating choice allows students to choose the seat that allows them to focus on the task, and produce work with their best effort. Through a process of modeling and reflection, I guide my students to analyze how successful they feel after using different seat options. This helps them to find their "best-fit" seat, and teaches them to engage in the process of learning. Watching a student take ownership of their learning, and feel comfortable as they learn is a gratifying feeling. With your help, my students can choose a seating option that will help them reach their potential as fourth graders!
