Since I teach special education, many of my students are far below reading at grade level. My students are reluctant readers. I feel that if I created a comfortable area for reading, which includes high engaging books and flexible seating they will want to read more.
The books that I have chosen on my wish list are a little below grade level, which gives my students access to read books at their level. Many of my students have a difficult time sitting in a traditional chair. I feel that they will enjoy these chairs. I want to make reading exciting for my students.
I plan on using the flexible seating chairs in my classroom, so the students have a new place to sit and enjoy reading. The books that I have chose are high interest and engaging books that I feel my students will enjoy reading.
