My first graders love to build with many things that I have in my classroom, but Legos are the all time favorite. Both girls and boys are excited to show me their creations as they build. Having the lego plates in different sizes will allow for multiple students to build, create and design the most amazing structure. Student use legos as a work center; they draw models of what they want to build, they create written and visual stories about the design. During STEM Friday, they work as a team to create a specific structure. Legos provides a way for kids to enjoy learning!
