Five years ago we formed our first middle school basketball teams. It was many student's first time playing the sport. Despite the challenges our students faced in their first year, they had fun and were inspired to continue the tradition of playing basketball together. Many of our athletes needed a positive extracurricular activity to engage in after school and basketball filled this gap. We saw improvements in academics, character and overall health for some students.
With this positive impact, we prioritized our athletic programming and two years ago we started our own league and welcomed other schools in the neighborhood to play with us. Today we facilitate two competitive middle school leagues that serve over 180 students in our community.
Our school has limited resources and we would like to continue to compete with others with as low of a cost as possible. Your contribution would support the purchase of supplies we need to keep our school teams practicing and playing with others in our neighborhood.
