A dry erase board is needed in the classroom to provide my students a place to practice writing, language art and math skills and to express themselves as they grow as learners.
Interactive learning is an essential need in the growth and development of kindergarten students. I would love to create an area in my classroom where students can have daily practice interacting with teachers and students for the math and language arts studies. Students could use the board to practice weekly spelling words, sight words and writing numbers. The possibilities are endless!
The key to success in kindergarten is keeping the students engaged. This dry erase board would be an additional resource to engage my students and encourage their love of learning. I currently have only one whiteboard in my classroom: Unfortunately, this white board is not magnetic. It is stained from many years of use and is mostly inaccessible to my kindergarten students. A new magnetic whiteboard would allow my students a fresh new area in which they can engage in cooperative learning on a daily basis.
