Our school has STEM night once a year, and each year we have a theme. This year our them is "City of Lights" patterned after the 1900 Worlds Fair in Chicago. We plan on having many different stations for discovering many past, present and future properties of Energy and Electricity. Our goal is to excite our schoolwide students about science, technology, engineering and mathmatics. We would like to use the 6 kits in a room to allow students to discover the electrical properties of common and safe goods.
After using these kits for STEM night we will then use them for classroom demonstrations in both fourth and sixth grades when energy is the subject of our science curriculum. Our hope is that these kits will be used many times over.
