My students great kids who would like to learn and succeed within society. I teach special education and all of my students have a learning disability. We are located in a low income neighborhood in which free lunch is given to every student within the school. These students come from backgrounds where there is no English spoken in the home. These students are trying to maintain their Spanish to communicate with their parents. They also have the challenge of learning the English language as well as grasping the basic skills that they would need to survive. We are located in Nevada where the drop out rate is very high. I know that once my students are exposed to technology they will be able to grow and the sky could be their limit. I want my students to compete with all of their non disabled peers and feel successful. I would like to introduce my students to a world that they are very unfamiliar with.
