I student taught last year in a flexible seating classroom. I loved watching the students choose which seat they wanted each morning. They enjoyed the flexibility to choose their seat, and because of this I feel like they were more focused and ready to learn.
I am entering my first year of teaching.
I will have about 20 kindergarteners that will be full of energy. I would love to give them the opportunity to experience flexible seating. I would love to have some wobble stools, colorful stools, a portable laptop desk to use when they are working on their ChromeBooks, a bean bag chair and a tent for them to relax and read in. My school is actually encouraging us to do so.
