My students attend a school that is in North Carolina and is considered title-one. I have teach 109 young ladies and men from varying backgrounds, races and cultures. These students are at the most important phase of transition from middle school to high school. It is at this point in their academic careers that, I as their science teacher must leave an impression on their minds and attitudes about science. They are the next generation of scientist, engineers, and scientific researchers. My students will in a few months begin to enroll in their high school courses. For the next four years of their lives they will begin to start thinking about what careers/jobs they will pursue after high school. I would love motivate many of my students to pursue fields in science. As we look at the world today, science teachers must begin developing students that can solve problems that face humanity through science.
