I have chosen wobble cushions, fidget bands, comfy furniture and engaging leveled readers for my students. These materials will provide them with what they need to stay focused and fall in love with reading. Simply having the flexibility to move to a cozy, safe spot with a favorite book can help them to recenter and find moments of peace throughout their day.
I want to foster independence in my students and help them find meaning in reading, not just in the classroom, but also understand why it matters beyond that. This project will assist in doing just that. It will help them to feel a sense of success and fulfillment. And that is what matters most at the end of their day.
