In middle school, students no longer have recess. I see my students for 44 minutes of their day. This is often the outlet that students need and a break in their academic day. The environment in the room is very laid back, but comes with high expectations. Students are given the opportunity to explore new materials both digital and hands on. Students are given the opportunity to express themselves in a positive manner and decompress from the stresses of everyday life.
