The LEGOs and building plates I am requesting will be used in a variety of ways, across all curricular areas. Students all learn in different ways, and also show their understanding of the content in different ways.
One hands-on way I like to use to engage my students in any subject area is through building with LEGOs! Using LEGOs, students can retell stories, demonstrate an understanding of a science concept, stage important events in history, apply nearly any math concept, and so much more! They are able to work with hands-on materials in a way that will keep them engaged throughout the lessons and help make the concept stick! In addition, this provides students another option for showing their understanding of the content or lesson, rather than just a written test or paper.
