The clothing closet is a necessity for every school. Each school that I have worked at has had some sort of clothing closet. Some closets have a lot of clothes, while some do not have many. For these students and parents, many do not know about or would not want to ask for help with finding uniforms. Some of the resources that provide assistance with this issue are far away. Parents may not have the ability to go to the place where the uniforms are given. Year after year I give out uniform vouchers and the recipients of the vouchers are appreciative. They say that they will utilize the voucher. Often, the vouchers are discarded and unused, not because they do not want the resource or are lazy, but because they have no way of retrieving the items.
Students are innocent and deserve to have the basics. Students cannot control their environment and often have very little control over anything. However, as a member of this school staff, I would like help provide aid with this issue. Kids deserve to have nice clothes to wear to school and teachers need options to be able to help provide this resource. Please consider donating to this cause, it is one that will help build the confidence of very young minds and who knows what will come of a student who loves the school that he/she attends. Thanks for your time!
