My children love to build! My STEM center is a favorite in my classroom. The materials I鈥檝e requested will help my students by promoting logical thinking skills, fine motor strength, communication, creativity and socialization, by requiring my engineers to work together to build and to use their hands to create. The dot markers and the write and wipe boards, and the alphabet lacing beads will foster fine motor skills, needed for writing. The global pandemic has created a lack of fine motor skills in early childhood children and manipulative building materials, and writing materials will promote fine motor skills, logical reasoning skills and creativity. STEM concepts are perfect for developing all of these skills as group projects. The items purchased will give students a variety of learning choices while giving them the opportunity to creatively build and work together. The flex seating I鈥檝e requested will begin to make an impact in the choices my children have for different seating options, giving those with sensory issues a more compatible learning choice. The other items in my request will help build communication skills needed for teamwork. I hope to give my students a love for learning that will last a lifetime.
