These sensory materials will help my students remain calm during the learning lessons. Other materials, such as the fishing game and the hedgehog peg game will help students improve fine motor and visual motor skills. Since some kids struggle to cross mid-line, I have found interesting and fun activities to increase engagement to work on crossing over their mid-line as well as improve their bi-lateral skills. My students need these noise reduction, sensory chew necklaces and toys that target fine motor skills to make the most of their occupational therapy sessions. Children work harder when they think they are just playing. The selected materials will help me keep my students engaged in a calm manner both in the classroom as well as in my therapy setting.
