I put a lot of musical instruments in my shopping cart because a lot of the musical instruments that I inherited are old and damaged. There's a couple instruments I added to my cart that I don't have enough of. There's nothing more frustrating to my younger students for there to not be enough of one type of instrument that they've never seen, or used before. I do my best to let kids take turns, but we're always limited on time.
I added a trumpet and some djembe drums to my cart because I want to teach my students about all the different types of instruments in different families, and how to play fun rhythms.
I already have my own violin that I bought a few years ago that I've used to teach my students about the string family. I love to see my students faces light up when I take out my violin and play "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." I've had many students pursue private lessons on various instruments because of my presentations in class.
