I believe it is vital for my ELLs to experience technology-enhanced learning. Because of the small size of my classroom, it is extremely difficult for my students to learn from my laptop. In fact, they are forced to crowd around my computer in order to watch educational videos or view instructional presentations. As a result, I find it challenging to integrate technology into my classroom, which is an essential element of 21st-century education.
With a projector, document camera, and IW2 Wireless Whiteboard, my English language learners will be granted the opportunity to immerse into the technological world and reap its advantages without having to squint their eyes to look off my laptop. By having my laptop displayed on the wall, my students can fully transform into active learners by traveling to another country on Google Earth, watching educational videos to build their English acquisition skills, and participating in multi-sensory hands-on learning. In essence, this technology would not only build and improve their speaking, writing, listening, and reading skills in English, but it would also motivate them to learn! And isn鈥檛 that the goal of education? To foster a desire for learning in our future leaders of the world.
