Our Public School is located in NY. It is a Title I school and has a large minority student population from predominantly low income families. Our students face adult illiteracy, transience, and single parent families. Our parents cannot afford to buy the supplies needed, so we teachers buy the basic supplies such as pencils and crayons. These children try very hard to take care of their supplies but it is very hard when they do not have a place to keep them.
