Time for Kids is a great news source for our students. This would be an easy way for our students to learn what is happening in the world around them, in a first grade appropriate way. Students will use these magazines to encourage reading different text types. It will also be used to help with writing, and to encourage classroom discussion. Assessments are provided as well, so that I am able to see where the students are and how to help them advance. Time also provides digital access, printables, and the paper copies! Students love getting to read the newspaper!
