In Title I school most resources go directly toward instruction with little funding for enrichment and things like art supplies.
Many of my students have little experience with anything more than crayons and markers. I am excited to bring in some high quality watercolors and watercolor paper so they can experience how watercolors are supposed to work.
Students will also get to experience using oil pastels to create multi-medium art and to explore shading with chalk pastels. We will even get to do some 3D Modeling using Playdoh.
Much of our art work is connected to literacy. It is often connected to a text and students often write to explain their artwork.
To have enough art supplies for everyone will be magical.
