Having a class set of flashlights will allow my students to conduct a number of hands-on activities in my classroom. One way they will be used is during a lab that determines how light travels through different mediums to create a sugar skull window display. Students will see how much light passes through various materials like foil, plastic baggies and tissue paper and then use those to create their skull.
As a science lab teacher, we are constantly trying to incorporate fun and exciting hands-on activities to engage our learners and having these simple yet valuable tools in my classroom are vital to our student鈥檚 success.
