These materials are crucial for our students to be able to engage in the world of robotics through our hands-on approach. We have two projects that are completely on hold right now due to a lack of materials. We use stepper motors on the actual robots themselves, and we need the tools associated to install these and to use them on future projects on the nature. We use our sanders and drills to not only to make wooden and metal devices, but also to remove electronic components from circuit boards. We are constantly finding ourselves short on drills and soldering equipment. These materials are contained here as well as the instruments and tools that we use to make them come to life. Our current projects use a lot of raspberry pi technology which allows us to use GPS based technology, vision technology, and LiDAR, which is why we need the circuitry items. Through the COVID pandemic, robotics seems to be one of the major driving factors in getting kids to school and keeping them engaged. Our students work on some of their coding stuff from home and then meet up in class to build their creation.
